Dying Mars exhales his final cry
And shakes his spear
His titanic frame collapses
On his shattered shield

His heart pours forth the blood
That stains the sand as red as rust
Copper rivers flow below
The sulphur burning sun

His arms spread wide and rend
Their grasp upon the earth
His bones like spires rising
Form the vultures' hungry perch

But their can be no succor
In the bloody feast of War
And those who taste his spoiled flesh
Will only yearn for more
